What had she done? How could she be that blind? All the time, she had been prepared to meet the evil again. She had been sure that she would recognize him, no matter what tricks he used and whatever mask he hide behind.
So, how could it happen that she fell for a stranger without even the slightest distrust? She had wanted the best, had even brought him here, into the South. And now he was back, gaining power again. Sauron. Only because of her.
Galadriel squeezed her eyes shut. A useless try to soothe the raging pain inside her.
