„No!“
Four pairs of eyes looked at Link, full of surprise. It did happen only rarely that the young knight was talking, so they almost had forgotten that he was actually able to do so.
It was Tulin, the Orni knight, who first found his voice again. „No?! What's this supposed to mean,“ he wanted to know.
Link kept quiet, only shaking his head. Looking determined, he turned to his loyal horse Epona, jumped into the saddle, and lifted his hand for a goodbye. But before he could gallop down the way, the Gerudo Queen stepped forward. She was young and small, but Link had already learned not to underestimate her.
Her green-brown eyes sparkled. „You want to leave us behind? After all we did go through together, you still think you are better off alone?“
„No way,“ Yunobo huffed, „this is not your fight alone. The Gorons count on me.“
Link watched them silently, his blue eyes full of sadness, and finally stopped at Sidon, who had kept quiet so far. Now, the prince of the Zora nodded slowly. „I understand,“ he said. „I felt the same when my sister didn't return from her fight against the evil. As if I had left her alone when she needed me most.
Today, I know better. Nothing that happened so many years ago was my fault. Your fault neither. Mipha, Revali, Daruk, and Urbosa, they faced the evil without any fear because of you, Warrior of Hyrule, owner of the master sword. Even after the downfall, their souls never gave up hope that one day you will be back to bring it to an end.
The time has come. Stronger than ever before, you will take up the fight against Ganon again, and we, the progeny of the never forgotten knights, will follow you, wherever your way will take you. You can't hold us back. Because this is our fate, like it is your fate to fight for Hyrule.“
Link blinked, bent his head. „So be it,“ he said, patting Epona's neck when the horse started to prance back and forth. „Together, for Hyrule. Again.“
